Families First is a nonprofit that has been serving the community since 1986, improving the lives of Colorado’s children. Our services prevent the abuse and neglect of children by providing education classes for parents and caregivers, family support through a variety of interventions, and treatment to children who have been abused.
We’re hiring a Bilingual Community Engagement and Volunteer Coordinator
The primary responsibilities are relationship development in the community to promote Families First, build and maintain a strong and effective volunteer program, and strengthen Families First client base.
Our office is conveniently located in southeast Denver.
This is a full time, 40 hours per week position.
B.A. in human services, communications, or related field, or equivalent experience
2 years professional outreach/business development experience, nonprofit preferred
Bilingual in English/Spanish
Effective written and oral communication skills in both English and Spanish
Persuasive public speaking communication skills to a variety of people and community agencies
Knowledge of and experience with the implementation of outreach skills and techniques
Ability to set, prioritize, and achieve goals and tasks under pressure
Strong understanding of marketing preferred
Experience with the volunteer management
Excellent interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and analytical skills
Proficiency with computer systems, programs and office equipment: MS Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Office telephone systems, multiple lines and extensions, Database management
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of current insurance
Clearance of criminal background check
