Population Health Analyst
Job Description.
The Population Health Analyst will conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to inform operational decisions for the OneCare Vermont Accountable Care Organization and other population or clinical transformation activities. This position contributes to the scientific, political, and analytic needs surrounding transformation activities within the ACO and population-centered care delivery programs across the OneCare network.The Population Health Analyst will generate complex, customized analysis and research deliverables. These deliverables are typically multipart and sophisticated and are used for key decision making with material financial and clinical implications. Customers will include the Executives from the participating health service areas, Founders, Sr. Leadership at OneCare Vermont, plus other senior executives, boards, physicians, and Accountable Care Services leaders.
He/she will work in the field with other members of the OneCare team to transform data into a business story with actionable steps to improve outcomes. They will have a presence in the health service areas that are participating in the OneCare network at community based committees. The Population Health Analyst will support the realization of a high value health care delivery system that meets the Triple aim of optimizing the health, total cost of care, and patient experience of the population using data to inform decision making at the community level. The ideal candidate is adept at using all available data sets to find opportunities available in order to make more informed decision on clinical priorities and initiatives.
Required Qualifications.
EDUCATION :
Master’s Degree in Population Health or a related area and formal training in Programming, Database Administration and Information Technology required.
EXPERIENCE :
Must have a minimum of 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in a health care setting in designing, producing, and interpreting quantitative and qualitative analysis outputs required. Experience working in the Health Catalyst platform is strongly desired.
