The FEC utilizes evidence-based programming to drive results that ensure families are engaged and actively support their children’s learning. The FEC will provide resources and training to staff and community partners regarding effective family engagement programs, lead parent trainings and serve as a connector to support families in meeting their needs. In addition, the FEC will work to support the sustainability of family engagement activities through collaborative efforts to ensure long-term change. Coordinate Technical Assistance and family engagement for Gear UP East Kentucky staff. Collaborate with FRYSC directors to support family engagement. Collaborate family engagement Professional Development with school district personnel? Serve as the lead in parent leadership convening. Coordinate publicity marketing and communication for the Family Partnership. Provide budgetary information to Family Partnership Director about funding needs for family engagement programs. Serve as a liaison with Data and Outcomes to ensure the family partnership activities meet goals and objectives for the funding source. Contribute local news updates to PFE communications team. Collaborate with the community to implement and sustain (FAST) Family and Schools Together and other Family Engagement programming in the area. Ensure timely collection and analysis of data and dissemination of results Other roles/duties will be assigned as necessary to assist the College in the attainment of the goals set forth and the enhancement of a positive, respectful learning environment for all staff, faculty and students.
Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling or a related field, required. Experience providing direct services to rural, high poverty families
Five years’ experience developing and coordinating partnerships between postsecondary institutions and public schools, community organizations, parent organizations and non-profit organizations
