A user account is required to comment, debate, create issues, create groups or give opinions. When you sign up for a user account, you are required to provide: User name and password - we use this information to create and manage your user account; email address - we will use this address to communicate service announcements; State and region to provide you with information relevant to your location.

If you are logged in when you post content on the site, the content will be identified under your user name. If you are not logged in, it will be identified as anonymous.

Community Features

User Profiles
Once you have a user account, you may voluntarily provide other information to enhance your profile, including a photo or image, your name, city, date of birth, gender and political views. This information will be disclosed publicly on the site under your profile. You are not required to provide this information. We offer users the opportunity to provide this profile information in order to enhance the richness of our online community. User Profile information including members' pictures and usernames are displayed to people in order to facilitate user interaction in the ElectionU.com social networking community.

Network Feature
Our site includes a Network feature. You have the ability to network with other members of the site. If your friend accepts, he or she will be provided your user name and you will be linked as friends on the site. If you elect to accept the invitation, your network will be given your ElectionU.com user name and you will be linked as Networked on the site. If you deny accepting the invitation, your friend will not be provided your user name.

We will not use any of the information that you provide for any other purpose.

Your Opinions and Comments
Please be aware that whenever you voluntarily post public information to Blogs, Comment Boards, opinions or any other Public Forums that the information can be accessed by the public and can in turn be used by those people to send you unsolicited communications.

Private Messaging
If you want to contact another ElectionU.com registered user, you may send a message through the site. You will be identified to that user only by your user name, and Picture. We will not disclose your email address to that member or theirs to you.

Cookies, Web Beacons and Web Logs
We set a temporary session cookie whenever you visit the site. It will be deleted when you close your browser. If you merely read the site without logging in, you may instruct your browser to deny this cookie.
